1 lb. bacon, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. barbecue sauce
1 t. salt
1/4 c. coarse-grain mustard
1/4 c. molasses
1 t. chili powder
1 t. black pepper
two 16 oz. cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
two 16 oz. cans butter beans, rinsed and drained
two 16 oz. cans baked beans

Preheat oven to 350. In a heavy skillet, cook the bacon and onion until the onion is caramelized. Transfer mixture to a sieve to drain. Add ketchup, bbq sauce, salt, mustard, molasses, chili powder and pepper to skillet. Stir over medium heat until well mixed and hot and all the brown bits are incorporated into the sauce.

Put all the beans in a large bowl. Add drained bacon mixture and sauce in skillet. Combine well. Spoon into large casserole. Bake, covered, for an hour.

Serves about 20 as a side dish.
